Salary SCALE £26,302 to £35,225

We’re currently recruiting a number of senior HR and Payroll Professionals to serve over 8,500 employees from our new Employee Service Centre, dealing with payroll, pensions and statutory requirements. You will also have the opportunity to share knowledge and skills with other Assistant Employee Service Centre Managers to support your personal development and provide cover as required within a professional, supportive and flexible team.


THE TICK LIST - Knowledge & Skills

  • Manage the Payroll Team within the Employee Services Centre
  • Higher level Payroll qualification through Institute of Payroll and Pensions Management (IPPM) or equivalent experience
  • Evidence of Continual Professional Development
  • Experience of working in a Supervisory/Assistant Manager role within a Payroll Service environment
  • Experience of transforming Payroll Services to deliver a high quality, measurable services
  • Evidence of leading own team through organisational change
  • Up to date knowledge and understanding of NHS Pension Scheme regulations or equivalent scheme and experience of practical application of taxation legislation eg PAYE, NIC, SSP, SMP
  • Excellent understanding of the importance of key interrelationships between HR, Medical Staffing and Payroll when developing and delivering a high quality customer focused service
